At Tennessee Mental Wellness, we are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our community by providing various opportunities for mental health support and growth. In addition to individual therapy, we offer Group Therapy and Support Groups, which are valuable additions to our practice. These groups provide a sense of community, shared experiences, and collective healing, which are essential for personal development and mental wellness.

Which group is right for you?

Group Therapy

We offer Group Therapy sessions that are both effective and supportive. Our Group Therapy sessions provide a structured and goal-oriented approach to mental health care, facilitated by trained therapists.

  • Professional Facilitation: Led by trained therapists.
  • Goal-Oriented: Focuses on change using therapeutic techniques like cognitive-behavioral strategies.
  • Structured Sessions: These may be time-limited or ongoing, with members often expected to attend regularly.
  • Therapeutic Techniques: Includes structured activities, discussions, and interventions to address specific mental health concerns.
  • Confidentiality: Emphasizes maintaining confidentiality to create a safe sharing environment.
  • Outcomes: Enhances social skills, self-awareness, and social connections, addressing a variety of psychological issues.
  • Fixed Sessions: Group Therapy range from 4 to 8 sessions. All members of the group attend together during that time, with no new members joining during that time. This promotes safety and confidentiality.

Support Groups

Our Support Groups provide a safe and supportive environment where members can share their experiences and support each other. These groups foster solidarity, empathy, and personal empowerment, allowing participants to know they are not alone in their struggles.

  • Peer Support: Members support each other through shared experiences, fostering solidarity and empathy.
  • Informal Structure: Less structured, often without professional facilitation, and allows for open discussion.
  • Shared Experiences: Formed around common challenges like grief or addiction recovery.
  • Personal Empowerment: Members feel empowered by giving and receiving support, knowing they are not alone.
  • Flexible Attendance: Participants can come and go as needed, with less emphasis on regular attendance.
