About Hannah Schorsch, B.A.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapy student at Lipscomb University, currently practicing under the supervision of Keiara Marsh-Cartwright, LMFT. I take a client-centered, strengths-based approach to support individuals, couples, families, and children. I work collaboratively with each client, tailoring our sessions to their specific needs, identities, and goals because no two paths to healing are the same.

I draw from a range of models, including family systems, experiential, structural, strategic, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. In practice, this means we will explore how your relationships, thought patterns, and experiences have shaped your current challenges, and how we can work together to create meaningful and sustainable change. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, and spiritual or religious beliefs. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where people feel safe to show up fully and grow.

My call to become a therapist began in fourth grade, when I facilitated what we called “eye-to-eyes” for my classmates, helping them talk through conflicts and better understand one another. I have always been drawn to holding space for honesty, empathy, and connection, and that calling has deepened over time. Today, I am a strong advocate for therapy for everyone, including therapists. I believe in its transformative power and in the growth that becomes possible when we feel supported, understood, and empowered.

I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and now find joy in a mix of quiet and creative moments. I enjoy tending to my indoor plants and gardening, spending time with my partner and close friends, crafting, reading, cooking, and cuddling with my three sweet cats. These simple moments help me stay grounded and present in both my personal life and my work as a therapist.

  • Relational challenges, including couples, parent-child dynamics, and family transitions
  • Individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or adjustment-related stress
  • Clients working through the effects of trauma
  • Women's issues, including identity development, role strain, and life transitions
  • Members of the LGBTQ+ community exploring identity, relationships, and belonging
  • Clients navigating codependency or attachment issues

  • Clients impacted by perfectionism or self-critical thinking

Neurodivergence

I approach neurodivergence from a relational and strengths-based lens. While I do not provide formal assessments or diagnoses, I support clients and families in understanding how neurodivergent experiences shape communication, routines, and relationships. Neurodivergence is often viewed through a deficit-based lens, and I strive to help clients recognize the strengths in the differences they bring to the world. I also support clients in building practical skills for navigating systems and environments that are often designed for the neurotypical. I understand how deeply this mismatch can affect self-confidence and become internalized over time, and I aim to offer a validating space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Attachment Styles & Codependency

In my work with clients navigating codependency, I focus on understanding attachment styles and how early experiences influence our patterns of connection in adult relationships. Together, we explore the emotional needs, beliefs, and relational dynamics that can lead to cycles of over-functioning, people-pleasing, or emotional dependency. I support clients in developing greater emotional awareness, self-compassion, and security in their relationships. My approach is collaborative and grounded in the belief that healing attachment wounds can open the door to deeper, more fulfilling connections with self and others

Anxiety

I support clients experiencing anxiety by helping them understand the ways it shows up in both their inner world and relationships. Using tools from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems, and experiential models, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, regulate distress, and reconnect with their values. Whether your anxiety feels like racing thoughts, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or constant self-doubt, we will work together to find more grounded ways of navigating life’s stressors.

About Grace Tierney, B.S.

I am a practicum student completing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. I am supervised by Keiara Marsh-Cartwright, LMFT, and I am committed to offering high-quality, ethical, and compassionate care to clients seeking support during life’s challenges.

I grew up in Nancy, Kentucky, where my early years were shaped by family farming, hard work, and a strong sense of community. As a decorated multi-sport athlete through high school and college, I have learned the power of discipline, resilience, and teamwork—values that now guide my work as a therapist. My passion for mental health began in high school and became personal during college, where I sought therapy to navigate complexities within my own narrative. Experiencing firsthand how counseling can create healing and clarity inspired her to help others in similar seasons of life.

I enjoy working with clients from all backgrounds. My areas of interest include veterans and military families, athletes, young adults, individuals navigating substance use concerns, and family relationship challenges. More than anything, I strive to provide a safe, strengths-based, and empathetic space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Benefits of Working With A Student Therapist

Working with a student therapist like me offers several unique advantages:

  • High Support & Oversight: I receive ongoing, weekly supervision from an experienced licensed clinician, meaning your care is supported by multiple professional perspectives.
  • Lower-Cost Services: Student therapists are able to provide high-quality therapy at a reduced rate, increasing accessibility without compromising care.
  • Up-to-Date Training: Practicum students are immersed in current research, theory, and evidence-based practices, bringing fresh, modern approaches to therapy.
  • Collaborative & Client-Centered Care: Student therapists often have additional time and energy to devote to case planning, preparation, and individualized attention.

I approach each client with humility, curiosity, and dedication—making therapy welcoming and deeply collaborative.

Counseling Approach & Modalities

My counseling style is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and respect for each client’s autonomy. I create a warm, collaborative environment where clients can explore emotions, build self-awareness, and reconnect with their inner resilience. I integrate a range of approaches to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, including:

  • Narrative Therapy – helping clients reauthor unhelpful stories and reclaim meaning
  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) – supporting deeper processing and connection to emotions ● Mindfulness-based approaches – enhancing present-moment grounding and stress regulation
  • Strength-based modalities – emphasizing resilience and personal resources
  • Cognitive Behavioral approaches - structured, goal-oriented therapeutic approach based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected.

I am especially passionate about supporting:

  • Veterans & Military Families: navigating deployment stress, reintegration, trauma, and shifting family roles
  • Athletes: addressing performance pressure, identity transitions, injury-related stress, and resilience building
  • Individuals navigating substance use concerns: providing a nonjudgmental space to explore patterns, reduce shame, and support motivation for change

I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward healing, clarity, and personal growth.
