Hello, I'm Keiara Marsh-Cartwright, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. I am deeply committed to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complexities of their lives to achieve healthier, more fulfilling relationships and emotional well-being. With a background in psychology and a specific focus on couple and family therapy, I've dedicated my career to understanding and improving the dynamics of relationships.

Education and Expertise:

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This laid the foundation for my passion for working with children and families. To further my knowledge and skills, I pursued my Master's degree at the University of Kentucky, with a strong emphasis on couple and family therapy. During my time at UK, I delved into the world of successful relationships and cohabiting couples, which became a significant focus of my academic research, culminating in my thesis work.

Professional Journey:

My journey in the field of therapy has been incredibly rewarding. I have worked in community mental health, particularly with teenagers, which has equipped me with a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by adolescents. Additionally, I owned a thriving practice in Sumner County, where I was able to make a difference in the lives of countless individuals, couples, and families.

Areas of Expertise:

I specialize in working with teens, helping them navigate the complexities of adolescence and provide a supportive environment for personal growth. Couples in conflict often find relief in my practice, where I draw upon my expertise in couple and family therapy. I am also dedicated to helping individuals manage anxiety and depression, offering guidance and support to alleviate the emotional burden that these conditions can impose.

Therapeutic Approach:

My therapy approach is deeply influenced by evidence-based models such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I believe that understanding and addressing the emotional needs and dynamics within relationships are pivotal for achieving long-term success and happiness.

Personal Life:

Outside of my professional life, I find immense joy in spending quality time with my family. I am a proud wife and mother, cherishing the bonds of love and connection within my own family. One of my personal passions is shopping, which is a source of relaxation and enjoyment for me.

I look forward to working with you on your journey towards healthier, more harmonious relationships and improved emotional well-being. Together, we can navigate life's challenges and uncover the solutions that work best for you. Please feel free to reach out, and let's take the first step towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.
